PtP - fastest configuration?

Hi.
I have two x86 boxes with two R52nm’s cards and I need fast PtP link.
I thought I will set nstreme-dual (5Ghz band in N mode) with wds, it will be ok or should I use some eoip or mpls/vpls or something else?
Thanks in advance for advice.

Log, use RB800 in any case. Very solid and very fast platform, which will do more than find. If it’s too expensive, keep with RB435G (due to Gigabit ETH ports). It will do fine as well.

If you have more to spend, and you decide in favour of RB800, you can look up for 3x3 MIMO PCI-E cards. Otherwise, stick with R52nM or R52hnM with dual polarity solid dish antenna, by all means.

If it is just point to point (not multihop) VPLS will give you excellent results. Use NV2 (u can expect a bit higher ping, but …).

Hardware has to be as i mentioned so tdma wont work. Dual-nstreme sould be ok but the question is whats next? Pure brdige, wds or mpls? I dont need routing nor dhcp, just pure fast radioline.

I am not sure that dual-nstreme will play nice with N. Maybe you should look at interface bonding. Check the forum, I think I stumbled across couple of success stories on that one.

Dual nstreme can be directly bridged - it won’t work with wds

Stupid question.
