PTP Link between RB433AH R52HN and Sextant

Hello,

i have a PTP Link with LOS ~ 19km

Site A = RB433AH with a R52HN Card and a 23dBI 9°/9° Dual Pol MIMO Antenna.
Site B = Sextant Power Output = 26dbm
Both on 5 GHz and with nstream

Upload from Site A > B is ok = normaly 7-10 Mbit
Upload from Site B > A is not good normaly 5-7 Mbit

Site A:
Signal:
TX -71 / RX -73dBm
TX / RX Rate:
52Mbps / 18Mbps (but not stable)
TX/RX CCQ %:
68/70 (but not stable)
P Throughpunt:
24190

The Link is not stable (broke up to 20 times a day)

Should i use RB433AH with a R52HN Card and a 23dBI 9°/9° Dual Pol MIMO Antenna on both sites ?

Anyone an idea ?

BR Thomas

Best scenario is to always use the same cards / config both sides. Also, do a spectral history, to make sure the channel you use has no noise.

Try to rotate 90 deg 23 dBi dual-pol antenna, then check your link.

The problem can be caused by dual polarity antennas. All of the antennas which we have tested (also our antenna → http://www.wireless-instruments.com/en/produkty/15/45/antennas-5-ghz/mimo/directional/wibox-pa-m5-24hv.html) have one polarization weaker than the second one. This problem is present mainly in dual pol antennas 23-25 dBi (on PTFE laminate), but this problem is available also in 18 dBi SEXTANT antenna.

Here is few words about how to install dual pol antennas in point-to-point links (and the reason why there are differences between polarizations) → http://www.wireless-instruments.com/en/12/installation-guide-for-p2p-connections.html.

try to use nv2 protocol instead of nstreme and see if you still have disconnects.
