ptp link groove 5Hn

I am new to mikrotik devices I am try to connect groove 5Hn in PTP link only, I get only 15 Mbps full duplex but according to the manual you can get 125Mbps aggregated throughputs, HOW TO ACHIEVE MAXIMUM THROUGHPUT?, my signal strength is -49/-52 dBm distance is 5km antina gain is 29.5dBi, I scan also frequencies to avoid interference.

this could be for some reasonso:

  1. you have a not perfect LOS from two points: reflecions, refractions, ecc
  2. you could have noise not shown by frequency usage

Remeber: you must test bandwidth not directly from the two groove (the cpu goes to 100%) but from two computers behind the groove capable to send/recive al least 100Mbit

1.) the two site are in LOS
2.) i selected the low frequency usage to avoid noise… (freq. usage is about -98 dbm in 5.2 GHz)
3.) we do file transfer end to end pc and monitor bandwidth using DU meter but we still get 15 to 18 Mbps full duplex.

any solution to get the maximum throughput?

  1. update to 5.14
  2. connect directly the two pc during a speed test to be shure they can achieve 100Mbit/s
  3. monitor transfer speed in the groove wireless tab
  4. use bandwidth too of mikrotik
  5. verify the vsvr of your antennas at 5200 (antennas efficiency could not be sufficient)
  6. lower the cards power to have -60dbm
  7. post your wireless configuration

the throughput is increase when i upgrade the router OS to 5.14 its work great thanks…
