2.4 should work on this distance without line of sight, but if you demand good bandwidth and response, you should make it visible however possible (long poles, different positions and so on).

10Mbps full duplex will be enough.
I have do somes estimates, the half of the Fresnel area will be occuped by relief and small hill.
And with the short distance, I think there’s no need of big output power.
5GHz equipment has more trouble with obstacles than 2.4GHz, so specially if you choose 5GHz equipment you have to be sure there is line of sight. SXT is good choise because 802.11n should work with reflections also.
10mbps full duplex is not low speed for 802.11b and is feasible with 802.11g, but again this is dependant on line of sight. Of course, 802.11a/n is capable of much more speed than 10mbps.
