I bring out two qca9984 wireless card from norton core 517 router and made an adapter because of non standard mounting hole.I put it in the Atom C3558 system and boot up ROS.No wireless interface found.In system resource PCI device list，there are two Atheros unknown devices.I changed qca9984 with qca9880 and everything is ok.So x86 do not support qca9984 ???
Note:Second hand Norton core 517 is just 17.595 dollar in china. These wireless card build with four 24dBm PA chips and four DIPLEXERs
wow, these are some really nice cards, for $17 this is real bargain!
Btw I just checked the routeros-x86-6.48.npk and it does have kernel modules for qca9984_pci.ko so not sure why it’s not working. Maybe it wants different PCI ID? I guess only Mikrotik support will know what’s going on…
