Hi guys, we are doing some QOS at the moment and all is working well, however when the link to the site is really busy we are seeing some packets being queued in the VOIP queue which causes some voice degradation.
We are using the PFIFO queue type with the standard 50 byte queue length.
We have 8 priority queues setup and VOIP is priority 3, when the link is flatout we see priority 8 queue running busily and it has the max 50 bytes of packets queued so it is working right, I suppose the problem is though that once it’s queue is full then other packets start queueing up in the other queues.
Is there any way we can stop the packets queueing for the VOIP traffic and make everything else queue packets instead ??
Apart from this issue the QOS is working well, being able to fix this would make it 100%
Thanks
Paul
