Is it possible to achieve a fairly effective QoS policy on a wifi link that is highly variable? I want control/mgmt traffic to go through no matter what and drastically cut back everything else if possible, this is easy enough on a link with a known and fairly stable amount of bandwidth, but what about when it fluctuates from 20mbit to 500mbit?
Has anyone able to find an effective policy for this sort of situation?
I’m running a mikrotik mesh networks with some key devices that absolutely need highest priority. Currently all mesh nodes are L2 with everything on the same VLAN but I could change it up with separate VLAN’s or even run a L3 network with OSPF as opposed to WDS if it’s likely to yield better results
