QoS: Traffic Priority

Hi,
I have my server with mikrotik, with somme queues rules.
When some users download, some others can’nt surf (can’t open google.com)
It is possible t configure some (dynamic queue), to dive this priority for traffic:

Priority 1: VoIP Trafic (port 5060 or 5061…)
Priority 2: Web Trafic (prot 80 or 8080…)

Priority n : P2P trafic (?Torrent and other).
So, If it is possible, i will be happy to receive some help.
Regards.

It’s possible, but not as easy, especially if you don’t have much experience with Queues.

It’s very hard to explain how to do it… so you’ll have to either dig-in and read it/understand it for a while, or hire someone to do it for you (better and easier).

A good place to start out when playing with queues is this wiki page:
http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Connection_Rate

It will get you a basic setup, and once you know how it works and play around with it, you can expand it to have more specific matching of traffic, and more queue tree leafs. Everything is always from the perspective of the router. So the WAN interface will be the upload queue, and the LAN will be the download Queue. Also you will need to set the queue limits to be around %90 of how much bandwidth a link is capable of for queues to work correctly.
