What is better to use for mangle + queue tree?
Forward or pre/postrouting?
packet mark or combination packet/connection mark?

If the traffic is passing through the router, then forward will apply. If it’s to the router, then input, and from the router, output.
It’s less CPU intensive to connection mark and then packet mark on that connection mark.
Just do some tinkering - just playing a little will clarify things a bit. Once you’re more sure about what you’re asking, then ask again.
