We are looking to set up a 12,7Km P2P link and I was just wondering if the MikroTik Light Head Grid 24.5dBi Dual Chain (RB-LHG5) would suit our purposes. Or are there any better cheaper products that will cover the 12,7Km distance.

Better and cheaper? Definitely not. Only better…
This is a pretty long link for this unit. Success will depend on tower height, intervening geography, obstructions, and interference. Also whether you have a hard minimum bandwidth requirement or not.
I love these units for point-to-point use and also as inexpensive CPEs, but I have not tried to push a pair over that distance. The terrain in my area would prevent that anyway.

We have some LHG’s connected 20Km apart, and they work very good for the price of the units.
If you need a lot of data over the link then you can take a look at the DynaDish
