Question about fan's third wire?

Dear people from miKrotick,

On you rmanual of routerboard rb-600 you indicate possibility of connect 2 fans in order to refrigerate the equipment (J801 or J802).
Fans i can find in my country of 5vdc they only have two wires, one positive and one negative , third one (which in your manual indicates as Rotation speed feedback) my fans’ supplier says that there are many options and i have to make clear what kind of signal it must produce.

indicates many options (DC Technical Information - auto restart - xxxxxxx ?) that can have the third wire …

Could you please tell me which is the right signal that the fans has to introduce inside the RB600 in order not to damage the routerboard?

Hello, if you don’t need backup function you can use two wire 5V DC fan. Only one fan can work in same time. If you order fans from Jamicon use S Function - Tachometer signal output without auto-restart
