when i select a link in dude, I can see the history of it displaying the link activity.
But when i change the scale from hour to day the scale changes the bandwidth. at a year it only hits about 300k.
How should i read this?
They must throw away some of the information about link utilization since the raw values take up too much space. You can change the amount of raw storage but be careful since a database over 2gb seems to crash.
The actual answer is the data is averaged. For example The Dude will take any of the 30 second results that are older than 2 days and average them down and stick it in a 10 minute value. The it will take the 10 minute value and average it down to 2 hour data when it is 60 days old. then it will take the 2 hour data and average it down to 1 day when it is 120 days old… Look in settings, chart…
