quick question,
i’m running a hotspot (version 2.8.13) on a pc box and was hoping to upgrade it to something a bit more current. Can i upgrade directly to 5.24 or do i need to do something older first. I really do not want to brick the box because it is deployed.
You might want to go to 4.x first and update the license key, then up to 5. Though technically you can go right to 5.x. I would also check to see what the license says you can upgrade to, and go to that version first if it says 3.x.

I think my license key is probably a free one or if it has a time limit its gone by now. I was seriously considering swapping it out for one of these routerboards i have. The down side is the config will not pass from 2.x to 5.x there is some syntax errors.
