Question about USB port for 3G/4G modem on haplite tower

so with that usb port for a 3g/4g modem, could I plug a usb cable into there and into my phone, enable usb tethering, and then share my connection through that usb port?? Currently doing it through a dedicated computer going into port 1 on a RB750G with a static ip on my lan and then send all internet traffic to that but it would be nicer to free up a pc and not have it dedicated for that.
