Over the last year now I have experiencing a lot of down time with out main fiber provider.
Their gateway will just become unavailable for and hour or two with no traffic on my MT CCR.
Report the problem and the support team just tells you the issue is on the client side and they are learning ARP from their end.
From my end no arp from the gateway.
Today I observed some strange traffic over one of my EOIP tunnels.
There is hsrp traffic coming from their side, so I checked a second EOIP, same traffic.
Our second provider also uses cisco router as a gateway and there is no hsrp traffic comming from that or the router of our 3rd provider.
Also the gateway that is doing the hsrp is about 200km away with fibre and the other two is onsite.
My question is. Can a HSRP config error on their end cause my link to randomly lose connectivity for an hour or two?
I know this may be a question that doesnt make any sense
