Question about Wireless station mode and VAP

Hello ,please check this scenario .

Devices:
a FTTH(Fiber To The Home) device which provides by ISP. It have wireless , so other devices can connect it then dial with PPPoE to reach Internet.
a RB751U-2HnD

FTTH RB751 CLIENTS(hard to connect FTTH device wirelessly)



I want to put RB751 in the middle to get better signal. And use RB751 to control the traffice by using queue , so that i can’t set RB751 into WDS mode cause WDS works

in L2 ..

In the past , i use a ddwrt device in the station mode, then add a virtual AP interface. let clients connect to the virtual AP interface that works but it is really not stable.

So i buy a RB751 plan to replace it, but after 2 hours research, i found RB751 did not support virtual AP while in staion mode.

any suggestions ? thanks

I think you want to use AP-Bridge instead of station mode.

AP-bridge does not work for me. I need ROS to be both AP and station.


I have to flash RB751 to OpenWRT to resolve this problem, saddly.
