Question using Mesh WDS as a dynamic hotspot Wifi repeater.

I’ve set up a mesh workbench network using multiple RB411ARs with ros 5.5 following this wiki:

I have a gateway to the internet handing out DHCP across the mesh. This will be a hotspot at a later date.

When I’m patched into the ether port of any of the RB411ARs I receive DHCP and connect to the internet without issues.

When I’m registered to the wlan port of any of the RB411ARs I receive DHCP yet cannot connect beyond the first RB411.

Is this correct operation? Will I require a second AP at each RB411AR site to connect to the internet using client wlan enabled equipment? Have I simply missed something?

Sounds like a routing problem to me. Your gateway probably does not have a route to your WIFI clients ip.
