Questions on shutdown

Sorry for bad English.

I have a RB751U router. I read that hard power-off isn’t safe for the router. I should execute “shutdown” command for correct shutdown. I use the router only at evening (when I’m in home).

Questions:

  1. Is it safe to don’t shutdown the router at all?

  2. Is it possible to modify the router to add a shutdown button and script (?) for correct shutdown when I press the button?

  3. I noticed that clocks are reseted on shutdown. RB751U have no battery for clock? Does exists a way to preserve clock (may be with a modification of router)?

  4. Does exists routerboard’s electronic schematics in public access?

use /system shutdown to turn off the router
and for time issue use the ntp client
