Questions with PoE

Hello, I recently bought 3 units of RB260GSP, I comment:
First RB - Connected to light DC (OK)
Second RB - Connected by PoE IN by the first RB PoE OUT (OK)
Third RB - Connected by PoE IN for the second RB PoE OUT, (Not working) … it is possible to make it work with a “poe bridge”?

Diagram:

FIRST RB 260 DC / SECOND RB 260 BY POE IN / Third RB 260 BY POE IN, this not work…

Thanks!

did you swap the RB order, so that you knpow that each individual will work on position #2?
If so, my guess is, that the third RB will simply not receive the POE budget required.
Are you using the standard DC unit or did you attach other devices to other ports for PoE-Out as well?
Mind you, that power consumption of of a single unit is advertised as 5W, which is approx only 0.25A @ 24V, so the DC unit should be able to drive at least 4 of them.
So the problem might just be a defective DC unit.

Replace it and, if possible go vor one with 3A@30V (30V is within specs) to receive some headroom on the PoE-budget.

Thanks!

Search about ether1 poe on long power cable on gui and enable it…

Works fine with “ether1 poe on long power cable” setting … perfect!
Consumption is 0.300 mA and about 4.5 W

“Daisy chain” poe setups are not recommended, if there are any issues (overload, short etc.) - all setup on the exact port will turn off. In case you still choose to use such setups, then make sure you do not exceed the limits.
