Hello all, in the past days I have been trying to fix some queues for a friend’s mikrotik.
He is opening a Gaming Lounge and I need to fix some queues so a user cannot affect the latency of the second user and so on.
I thought about spliting the packets into 2 groups. Browsing (port 80 and 443) and Rest (all other ports, so I dont need to specify for each game).
How can I achieve this using PCQ and Queue Tree?
For example if I got a connection of 10Mbps/10Mbps into 20 Pcs.
Also I want to split the speed depending the number of active users
I appreaciate any help
the best i can say is to use rb951 for such purpose
How in anyway is this an answer to the question asked ?
use rb951 and configure it for queuing and bandwidth distribution between hardware like making PPPOE with specific speed or any other rule you find better.
RB951 is perfect for configuring as a hotspot
next time you can request more info if you don’t know not .
thx for simple reply
Hi,
use Firewall Mangle Rules to add packet marks as desired. Keep in mind that you need to mark incoming and outgoing packets as there is no connection tracking on packet level.
Afterwards, configure queues for the marked packets as you like.
