Hi.
It turns out that, when connecting to mikrotik with Winbox, my own ip, reaches very high values in the “download” (taking into account that I’m not using the web browser, or downloading anything). Just by connecting by winbox to mikrotik.
Any idea why this behavior?
What is saying the category “download”.
Thank you very much!
pd.this happend with any computer that connect to mikrotik with winbox… so… whats going on??
Hi,
pc with traffic have 30kb for tell something, and when i connect to mikrotik with winbox i get 1500kb constantly or more… i disconnect from mikrotik and the ip that reaches 1500 go down… to nothing… or something like 30kb…
Close all windows in winbox and see if something changes. Then open only those windows you need to see what does it. Maybe seeing the connections in firewall, I suspect.
Ok, thanks!
A question related…
the ip from the proxy (im using squid) reaches in download something like 1500kb in “Download”… the download is the connection that go to the proxy from wan??? (the proxy is in the same local net that pc)…
thanks
surely you are seeing a winbox windows with many information like a connection tab on the firewall on a equipment with many connections established, in that case is better to check connections using CLI
any windows with many elements updating will have that behavior a powerfull gui like winbox have many benefits but showing many info equals a lot of data, if you want to manage using less bandwidth use CLI = ssh, telnet, terminal on winbox etc
