Hi all, I’m a newbie to Mikrotik. I’m using an RB750GL with RouterOS 5.5 . I’m trying to prioritise game traffic (Team Fortress 2) which uses port range 27000-28000 UDP with Queue Trees. The mangle rules are seeing the traffic fine but priority only sort of works. I’m testing with a Youtube video upload to use all my 256K upload. Before uploading the game latency is around 30ms as normal, while uploading without queues/priorities the latency is around 220ms, while uploading with queues/priorities the latency stays good going no higher than 40ms but after a minute or two it seems to start rising and stays around 90ms-100ms. I’m not sure if I have the Queue trees setup correctly? I have tried with and without limit-at and max limit on the child queues.
I have looked at the wiki/manual but it only confuses me further.
Any ideas? thanks in advance.

Limit-at defines the minimum guaranteed amount of bandwidth given to that queue regardless of the priority.
Priority defines what queue will get access to the free bandwidth defined by their max limit when it is available.
