I am using Mikrotik Router OS v3.16 with level 5 license. I am running hotspot services on that for my campus users. I am facing a problem which is queues are not working in my hotspot. I have added manual queues for some ips but there is no traffic showed up in queues and speed is not getting limited. Any help?
please post your queue configuration, and your hotspot configuration
Here is my queue configuration. What you want to see from my hotspot configuration? it is just configured by simple hotspot wizard.
show us the table of queues instead. is that rule disabled? (it says so in the corner).
also is that IP address the one that client gets after logging in, or is it before he logs in?
you can actually use Hotspot Profiles to give users speed limitation, it’s much easier.
I know is easier by applying speed limits from hotspot profile but i am using remote aaa server for billing and user verification purpose and queue is automatically added for each user while connecting. This is why i need to work this out with queues. Queue is not disabled. Please see this and ip remains same after and before login.
