Quick Set does not recognize DHCP client on ether5

Hi,
I have noticed strange issue in Quick Set that confused me.

I have MikroTik RB750GL with RouterOS 6.25

  • ether5 - connected to WAN1
  • ether4(port disabled) - connected to WAN2
  • ether3(port disabled) - not used
  • ether2 - connected to LAN
  • ether1(port disabled) - not used(previous WAN1)

IP - DHCP client - I have there 3 DHCP clients

  • On ether1 - DHCP client disabled(historically, default config)
  • On ether4 - DHCP client disabled(I enable it after enabling ether4 to access WAN2)
  • On ether5 - DHCP client enabled and is getting IP for WAN1

Up to here it is OK and everything works. But when I go to Quick Set with this settings it show:
Address Acquisition: Static
IP Address: 0.0.0.0
Netmask: 255.0.0.0 (/8)
And it all looks like my DHCP setting is broken. Actually nothing is broken everything works.

  • I think that Quick Set does not recognize the DHCP in use on ether5. It propably does not count with two previous disabled DHCPs on ether1 and ether4.

If you plan to configure some things Outside Quickset, do not use Quickset at all. You can either use the menus on the left, or Quickset. Mixing them can bring unexpected results.
