I have been upgrading to 3.0 and on my nodes with SR9 cards in them, they clients don’t connect, and I have to downgrade back to 2.9.50 to get a connection.
does this mean all the clients must upgrade to 3.0 before I can upgrade the AP?
and will the client that move to 3.0 be able to connect to a 2.9.50 AP?
Are you serious? Wow, that would have really messed me up!
I’ve upgraded to 3.0 RC13 and have a bunch of 2.9.46 clients with SR9 that work fine… but your telling me the move to 3.0 will kill them… anyone else confirm this??
Yes, had a total of 17-20 deaf so far, but Ubiquity has alway’s stood behind their product. My CPE units are designed around a DC ground antenna and in fact I have never had a unit go bad that was ungrounded (Example… mounted on a chimney). It seems that the bad cards happen in batches. I am about to roll out my first XR9 tower in the next few weeks… I can’t wait to see how they perform. The key to SR9’s are filters at the AP, Good vertical seperation at the AP and use 5Mhz spacing.
Greetings hytanium, best of luck with the xr9’s; we are having good luck with everything on 2.9.50.
We haven’t decided to take the time and switch everything to 3.0 yet, but if you could post your findings back here with your success (xr9 + 3.x) it would be greatly appreciated! Cheers
How do you like the superpass antenna’s? Expecially the 2.4ghz and 900mhz antenna’s… Do they perform well? I was interested in there product but was not sure if it was good quality.. Thank you - Jordan
I’ve been very happy with the antenna’s. They are very lightweight and affordable. I heard (From another WISP) that they had some moisture problems, but now they drill weeping holes in the radomes. They custom manufacture my cpe antenna’s for my radome/enclosures. I use only 900 and 5.8.
