r52 high latency

Hello,

I have a rb532 with an r52 and i’m having problems with high latency when connecting my laptop to it. I’m about 25 feet away from the access point and getting anywhere from 15ms to 1500ms when pinging it. It was working for for about one week and now its doing this. So far I have tried the following

changing antenna ports on the software
rebooting the router
upgrading to the latest version
changing channels
turning the power down
turning the power up


The signal is really bad and the laptop works on other access points. Could this be a problem with the card? Has anyone had a problem with an r52 card before.

If you’ve played with the power settings you’ve most likely fried the card if it wasn’t already.

Another possibility is that during testing you got a static shock while hooking up or unhooking the antenna which has been known to cause problems for a lot of people. Try a different card, it’s probably blown.

I dont think so. It developed problems on its own. Playing with the power settings didn’t make it better or worse. It continued to work just poorly.
