hi everyone… im having a hell of a time trying to get my motion computing LE1600 to recognize my R52Hn. i have tried installing EVERY driver from the Mikrotik site AND the Atheros site AND the Ubiquiti site (in desperation because i really need this card to work) in all cases when i go to the device Mgr and try to install the driver i get the same mesage “the hardware was not installed because the wizard cannot find the necessary software” has anyone EVER got the R52Hn to work on XP in a laptop or tablet using the internal mini-pci slot in place of the stock wifi card?
drivers from www.atheros.cz work for most people. did you try those? how about trying the card in some other PC, maybe the PCI adapter, or motherboard itself is faulty?
Normunds, i guess you did not read my quarry. i have tried installing EVERY driver from the Atheros and ubiquity sites as well asother 3rd party drivers for the 9220 chipset before i sent in my cry for help. the motherboad is fine because i removed an intel 2200BG card which had ben functioning fine (and functions perfect hen i replaced the R52Hn with the old 2200) im guessing i am not installing the driver correctly. so can someone go over the installation instructions for me? i have traditionally right clicked the .inf file and chose “install” i cant believe atheros has not created installer for their products, this is not the 1970s!!!
Atheros.cz is not an official Atheros site, that’s why I mentioned it.
Did you try this card in other computers, or a RouterBOARD? It could simply be having a hardware issue. Maybe it is broken?
