R52Hn User Capacity

Can anyone please opine on how many WiFi clients could/should be supported by a RB800 with one R52Hn as the AP.

Thanks!

The million dollar question with the million answers!
The question is asked many times in this forum. The lesson is that too many factor come in play to give a straight answer to it.
It depends on the capacity of the backbone (can it handle all the traffic the AP could produce?)
It depends on the allowed usage of each associated station,
It depends on the actual usage of each associated station,
It depends on the actual type of traffic that is generated. (VOIP is much more vulnerable to delays or changes in delay then a simple file download which will make it in the end anyway…)
It depends on the rate settings (which can be a derived product of signal strengths.)
It depends on the signal strengths.
It depends on CCQ of each and all of the station<->AP links
It depends on the the protocol overhead used in the communications
It depends on the Queue settings in eiher AP or CPE
and I’ll bet I can find a handful more.

But in real life, I would think most WISP uses max up to 30 / 50 clients on one single AP before they start deploying more AP to cover same region.

I will not give more than 60 clients to one single radio.
