R52nM client not connecting to R52nM AP at 54Mbps

Hi,

I am using an R52nM as an AP in an RB800, and another R52nM as a client in another RB800. I am trying to force the client to AP wireless link to use 54Mbps only, so I set the basic and supported rates to 54Mbps only on both the client and AP. The client will not connect to the AP with these settings. Notes:

  1. Other bit rates work: for example, setting to only 6Mbps, 9Mbps, 12Mbps, 18Mbps, or 24Mbps all work, but 36Mbps, 48Mbps, or 54Mbps do not.

  2. Other non-MikroTik clients work fine.

Is there some limitation in the R52nM where 36Mbps and higher rates will not work?
