RADIUS accounting request not sent:no response???

Hi guys!

First of all, is this an error? should I be worried about this? Do I need to have this accounting response corrected?

I am using SBR radius for AAA, I have a strange log on my MT logfile.

[ hotspot: : RADIUS accounting request not sent: no response ]

I have no problem with authentication/authorizing hotspot users as I can see them logging on and logging off normally including log-off by time-out.

Questions:

  1. Should I add the mikrotik dictionary to the SBR distionaries, and change NAS client vendor to mikrotik routeros? (how do I do this properlly?)
  2. Should I just append the small “dictionary.mikrotik” to the “radius.dct” and still continue to use “-Standard Radius-” as my NAS client vendor?

Thank you again.

Robert

there is no need to worry about that error, the RADIUS is simply to busy to accept the packet you sent to it and rejects it. This date which was rejected is added to the next accounting packet, it’s not lost.

Don’t know for sure about SBR, but probably you should specify the path to where mikrotik.dictionary is located in on of configuration files.

edzix,

Thank you.

I will monitor the MT log and double check the SBR session logs again. I am just concerned that I might loose log-in and log-out times from clients and have problems with billing them later.

Thanks again!

Robert
