Radius and PPPOE

I have hotspot up and working and works with radius. I just setup pppoe on the same interface using differnt ip’s but on the same network. This works as well when I manualy enter a name/password into the MT unit.

I have set ppp..aaa.. radius autenticate to yes.

I set the radius services to accept hotspot,ppp.

I see the pppoee user trying to autenticate in the logs and I show a time-out ont he radius stats screen.

The radius server says there is no nas password being sent.

I can switch right over and autentciate via hotspot though… switch back to pppoe and it says no nas password is being sent to the radius server thus it just times out and ignors.

Any Thoughts?

This issue is driving me mad. I only have one radius server entry. It is selected to accept hotspot and pppoe users.

Hotspot authenticates the users just fine, when i try to autenticate a ppoe user the radius server rejects the mt packet with a time out becuase the radius server says mt did not send the secret.

But it’s the same entry! hotspot works, ppoe dosn’t. I’ve read all the docs and just can see no reason why this dosn’t work.

Radius server logs specificly state thers no secret being sent with the radius request, but hotspot works just fine using the same mt radius entry.
