Would someone care to explain radius server to me and the benefits and uses
google is your best friend for ALL your one line/one sentence forum posts
@Admins: please close this topic, thank you
I did google radius server but i would like to know more from experience pros lurking the forums
With the possibility of someone who knows about radius servers taking the time to expain their angle and uses and the benefits of radius over other systems alike.
Look, I appreciate that you’re trying to learn something, but this is a forum specifically for RouterOS and MikroTik products. If you want to ask a question about those, go right ahead, but this is not the place to learn general networking concepts and technologies. Sign up for a class at a local community college or kill a few weeks watching any number of free tutorials/webinars on youtube, but stop plastering the forums with questions that you really should know the answer to before you ever try messing around with a production network.
Ok thankyou i appreciate your response i will ask my question
Should i use a AAA radius server
For clients to access their accounts?
Like a ppoe customer would acces thier isp, is this the same comparison
Should my AAA server be a dedicated machine?. I think so which machines are best?
How can i manage or host the AAA server across multiple access points? Or update the directory of users to sync between
and i wonder how they can keep in sync between access point sites eg. Same user logging into two sites at once
Has anyone dabbled with, the radius “Access Challenge” and requesting a second key to establish encryption tunnel
What are the pros and cons of radius? and how can we improve it
