Radius, WPA2 EAP and bandwidth limit

Hi all,

I use WPA2 - EAP for wireless client auth. I dont want to use hotspot. As a radius server, I use Freeradius. I need to limit bandwidth for users so I have tried to use attribute Mikrotik-Rate-Limit, but no Simple Queue entries were created upon users connection. So .. is there a way how to achieve this?

Thanks for any information!

We have the same question, we want to be able to limit users that roam onto our network in their speed (based on agreements with roaming partners)

We are using CAPSMANv2 at the moment

Hello world !

The thread looks a bit older, but I have the same question.
Currently I try with a two way solution. One code for WPA2 a second one for hotspot login to get the bandwidth.
Radius is FreeRadius 2.1.something.

I’ve finally achieved this by enabling tunneled reply in my freeradius.
Now a strange behavior incurs: Mikrotik-rate-limit works only for downstream. Upstream bandwidth seems unlimited.
Here is my freeradius attributes response:

Here is my Gw situation:

Any ideas? Is there a way to achieve speed limitations even for Upload?
i think this is a ROS bug.
