FreeRADIUS is open source, and runs on many platforms as standalone or even in Docker.
It has extra functions , not found in MT User Manager 5 (ROS 7) .
I loved one of the implementations with web based management and user interface (daloRADIUS) .
Just downloaded the Docker image and started it.
FreeRADIUS with it’s “FreeRADIUS -X” startup command gives a lot of debugging information. Important to diagnose and make it work.
Used it succesfully this way, but returned to “User Manager 5” because of the RouterOS management tools ( eg RoMon) because the whole setup is very remote, and is on MT hardware only.
Ok but still not I don;t have anserw for my question.
Is possible or not? WIll work or not?
I’m using onli to login to mt boards.
Yes, if you are running FreeRADIUS inside a docker container on your CHR.
Otherwise use MikroTiks own radius server which is called User Manager.
