Rate Limiting Customer Vlans..

Hiya,

I am wondering what (if possible) is the easiest way to rate limit a customers traffic passing through the mikrotik (in and out).

We have a GE uplink to a switch from our mikrotiks, with customers servers sitting on their own vlans, I want to be able to sell banwidth in chunks allowing one customers server to have a cap of 15mbs, and another to have a cap of 5 mbs, and yet another to say have a cap of 35mbs, and then others not rate limited, with caps on both inbound and outbound.

What is the best way possible to do this, without causing problems and issues with customers not rate limited and pushing 50 or 60mbs non-rate limited.

Thanks!
Tom

To limit the rata of a separate interface (VLAN), see tx-rate and rx-rate parameters in /interface . For more complex setups use tree queues.
