RB 1000U Not Booting

Hi,

got an RB 1000u not booting. blue lights up, the eth lights up for 2 secs then off (normal), no beeping sound.

What to do?

tried netinstall.. but no luck.

No suppout file, (not even booting into the system :frowning: )

PS: This is my 3rd RB 1000u, 2/3 not working, always need extra effort to get it running…
come on … mikrotik…

there is nothing on the serial console output?

are you sure power is even supplied to the board?

Dear Normis,

  • the lights are up, as normal, meaning the power is up & supplied to the board.
  • nothing comes up on the serial interface.

problem with my first rb 1000u was the power supply hooked up opposite way from the factory.

tried netinstall didnot detect the RB at all.

Anymore suggestion before sending it back for RMA?

Hi, open case and carefully check is it all cables stick in right places, is it all parts fixed on board ( no clear parts or screws inside ). This Rb is DOA or working some some time?

I’ve open the unit, nothing strange. DIP SWITCH showing 2-3 on ON posisiton.
All screws are tight. Wiring Ok.
1 fan is running (normal)

yes it is DOA, never even a single beep at the first opening, so never ran at all.

Done netinstall many2 times, with no success.

What do do??
Seems like RMA is the only way.
