RB 1100 switch/bridge question

Hey guys,

I have a RB 1100… Port 1 is WAN from our backhaul, ports 2-7 will be plugged into UBNT Rocket AP’s… AP’s are bridge mode, CPE’s are all router Mode with public IP’s on them, handing out 192.168.100.x to customers SOHO.

DHCP server is on port 2 and I have it bridged with ports 2-7… Could this cause me any troubles? I expect about 60 clients on this tower maybe passing 20 meg traffic at a time..

I wanted to make two switch groups and bridge ports 2 and 6 but it would cause the DHCP server to fail so I just bridged them for now :slight_smile: I just wanted to make sure putting all the ports in one bridge group will not cause me any problems…

I guess my main question is… will I run into problems down the road with all the ports bridged?

It should work, but isn’t very efficient - bridging happens in software. I’d just use an 8 port switch.
