Hello guys, I need your help to acquire a RB. Today I have a small network with 800 users and it works as follows:

I would like to take the server “PCC” / “Manager” and replace it with only one RB1100 wanted it to work on both servers. I know little of RB and so would the opnion of everyone including the people who use this model.

The processor of the two servers is: Intel 2140
Memory 2GB DDR II 667

Like :

  1. speed of internet connection
  2. users speed in tariffs
  3. PPS on interfaces on PC SERVER (in time where lot of users online)
  4. Current CPU load
  5. Current Traffic on PC SERVER (in time where lot of users online)
  6. Current version on ROS, how many nat rules and mangle rules

PPS on interfaces on PC SERVER (in time where lot of users online)

Packet per second - in winbox, if you look on traffic graph in interface tab, you see Mbps on top and PPS on bottom.

RB1000 or RB1100 you may use for you needs, but you current server more powerful than RB, why you whant to change server ?? If you buy 1U case for E2140 - it will look like RB1100 ))) but more powerfull :slight_smile:

In the case of 110 is the amount of ports and the centralization of management. Here in Brazil is not easy to find motherboard that has a lot of PCI. Not to mention that working with an appliance-focused our work is very much brings confidence. Do you think better to continue with the servers?

if your internet speed lower than 1 Gbps, than you better to buy mikrotik 44GV PCI 4-port Gigabit Ethernet card and install it on server
