RB/2011UAS-2HnD-IN as AP and WLAN-Bridge at the same time?

Dear all,

I try to configure the following scenario with a RB/2011UAS-2HnD-IN:

Internet ↔ FritzBox 3770SL ← WLAN → Mikrotik RB/2011UAS-2HnD-IN (as AP) ← WLAN and LAN devices

Is this scenario possible with only one RB/2011UAS? If so, can somebody point me to the right direction for configuration?

If you want the routerboard connect with the fritzbox must you set the wireless interface as client.
You can’t the radio use as client and accesspoint.

You can use wds in your case. But you need mikrotik device on other side too. So you have four options:

  1. Use mikrotik instead fritzbox and wds connection.
  2. Use client for connecting to fritzbox and ap for further distribution.
  3. Use device with universal repeater capability instead mikrotik- e.g. ovislink 5460.
  4. Connect fritzbox and mikrotik by wire. This is the most reliable option.

thank you all for the fast reply. I connected the Fritz box via wire, which works almost out of the box.
