RB 433 AH maxing out on cpu with r52N

Hi There,
Question.
I have a setup with 2 RB433AH with a R52N in each board.
I have done good udp tests with my modulations both at 300 HT. Perfect… but as soon as we try to push tcp traffic the cpu will overload a at 43Mbits clocked at 680Mhz and stop at 50 Mbits at 800Mhz. This is a full duplex test!

I have also built a rb433 AH with 2 r52N cards in each board setup as a nstreme dual. Got it working but again no real performance gain! It does the same or poorer job than running with r52 cards! Is this a tweaking thing that can be done at driver level to make things work smoother or do the N cards just eat up more Mhz of Cpu?

It seems the cpu is the bottleneck, what other cpu’s /boards would you say we should try? Looking for BIG cpu power i think:)

Any help is welcome guys

Nic

BandwidthTest from rb433 to rb433 is what is creating the load.
connect a PC at each end and test from PC to PC routing through the router boards.

Ok, thanks will do that!
Am trying to get more info on the RB433Ah boards and the R52 and R52N cards.

The boards kick out a whopping 58 mbits with R 52 cards but just don’t get the performance with the R52N.

I have all the settings up there and see 300 Mbits - Ht both Tx and Rx so something must be good:)

i will let you know what the pc-pc test gives us:)
