RB 433 and 3 x DCMA-82 cards dont fit

Hello,

I bought routerboard 433 and 3 x DCMA-82 cards to be able to connect 3 Antennas.

But seems that the DCMA-82 card is not thin enough, so I am not able to put all 3 cards in the slots next to each other.
I am only able to input 2 cards. The one slot in the middle i have to skip, because otherwise they wont fit.

My reseller didn’t tell me anything about this, he actually suggested me to buy this cards.

So what should i do now?
Is there a way how to input all 3 cards in the slots?

Please look at the picture below.
Would the cards work if i leave them like on the picture (if they are standing upwards -they are not bent down), because this is the only way how they can fit.

No the radios will not work unless they are fully installed and locked down.

Ask your reseller to exchange the DCMA’s for Mikrotik radio cards.

They will fit three in the triple slot.

The only caveat is that you cannot use an MMCX connector in the top card slot with most of the indoor cases and still close the top.

Should i try to use force, and lock the cards down with force, maybe they will fit then, but they will be touching each other ( one card will be laying on the next card - this is probably not good).
P.s. has anybody managed to input 3 of the DCMA-82 cards?

Otherwise i will have to exchange the cards.

I don’t think touching will be a problem as the “can” is a big ground plane and the back of the card should be the same.

But you could damage the connectors if there is too much force or stress on them. And the damage won’t be covered under warranty.

Finally i managed.
I just had to pull the 2 little connectors( card holders) up.
And its working now fine, all 3 cards fit.

thanks for advice

a very dangerous workaround that can impact the longevity of your installation

So what would you suggest? this is what my reseller suggested me to buy.

Do you mean its dangerous if the cards are touching each other or what?

Hi, search flex minipci in google. With this you can put the 3 cards without problems, but its cheaper and faster to use 3 r52

Just use thinner cards (R52), more PCB screws and definitely not that case !

I hate that case. I really really hate it.

  1. The paint peels off in the sun.

  2. There is generally a lack of the wierd size screws you need to fix the plates on the back.

  3. Dissimlar Metal’ discoveries has been ignored for the ali case and the easy-break Allen-Key-head closure screws. They Fuse shut, and i’ve had to drill a few out.

4, and Most annoying, is the way the gasket falls out on a whim.
