RB 450 vs RB 493 Setup Problem

I purchased an RB450 and an RB493 with hopes of setting up a VPN connection to our remote office.

I configured the RB450 to work with our static IP coming in on Ether 1, and the rest of the ports bridged as a DHCP server. This works with no issues.

I then went to configure the RB 493 in the exact manner, using the same internet connection and settings, and I can not get the RB 493 to see the outside world. It will occasionally ping an outside IP, but thats about it.

I have read where the RB493 has a switch chip (not sure exactly what that means), does this mean I am bridging the RB 493 incorrectly?

Anyone have any ideas what needs to be different on the RB 493 as opposed to the RB 450.

I even sent the unit back to the supplier I bought it from, and he sent me a new one (I hope anyway) just in case something was wrong with the board.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can post any configuration data if anyone cares to see it.

RB450 also have a switch chip

Ping from where from router r from client behind router?
If you can ping from client behind router , then check DNS settings.

Thanks, I upgraded the OS and the firmware. Everything just magically started working without changing a thing.
