RB 493 Capacitor issue

We’ve had several RB493 units die with the capacitor issue this year, and we are looking to preemptively replace the remaining 493 and 493AH units in our network with 493G units.

Here’s the question - have those failures been noticed on the 493G at all? It looks like 411AH, various 493’s, and 450G’s were the ones where this was happening, but I haven’t seen any reports of the 493G failing from this issue.

Look for color of 560uF 6.3V electrolyte capacitors on the boards. Green Suscon SJ are almost all affected. I never had leaked Brown Suscon MG Series capacitors, but time will show us.

I have had 450 433 and a rb1000 . Basically those little green and gold caps are no good. Takes minutes to replace them. All new stock has better ones . If you are unlucky to get an old one with green and gold caps send it back or fit new caps before putting in production
