RB 500r5 Series Reset Defualt setting.

Hi all,

I have a RB 500r5 that was configured by me sometimes ago, now i am intending of using it again but i could not remember the Password again. i’ve tried to pressed the S1 button for several times nothing happen, i have shorten the JP3 jumper. Please could anyone help out of the on how i can resent it back to the defualt.

you should shorten the jumper during bootup

I’ve try this, but still the same. can you please give me detail on how to do the shorten. there are two Jumpers on the board (JP3 & JP4).

Assuming that the boards are all broadly similar, looking at the picture http://www.routerboard.com/img/rb532r5_s.jpg, I would expect the jumper to be the connection that looks like “()” turned 90 degrees just above and between the PoE ethernet port and the serial port.
