Running a speed test from a PC to the RB-532 running 2.9.19 we are only seeing 14.2Mbps download speed and 24.2Mbps upload speed.
Connecting to a Mini-ITX based system with 2.9.18 we see 90Mbps both ways. Same cable, switch, etc.
Any idea why the speeds on the RB-532 seem so low?
I’ve noticed similar problems.
I started with a VIA mini-ITX board and I was getting an effective throughput between devices connected to ethernet ports of around 14MBit/s although if I did a speed test directly between a workstation and router I would get around 90MBit/s although that’s not a particularly valid test.
Mikrotik’s default position was to blame the hardware, so to eliminate any debate about hardware I purchased a 532A and 564. Interestingly I found that I only achieved a slight improvement in performance.
I’ve since logged a support call with Mikrotik, and provided them with my support.rif file however I’m yet to hear anything back.
