RB 532 hangs on boot

Hi
I have a RB 532, and suddenly it has stopped working. When i connect to it with null-modem cable all i get is
RouterBOOT booter 1.5

RouterBoard 532

And it stops there. The orange LED (on bottom right) is blinking constantly.
Any help how can i fix this? Or what might be the problem.
Thanks

Been there, seen that.
This is a very old problem. BIOS version 1.7 and older had this.
Actually everybody should update BIOS regularly, 2.16 is current.

Your RB532 needs factory help now.

I have same problem.

I can rewrite flash over JTAG.

Can anybody send me an original flash image file in s19, hex or binary format?
(I know, board serial number is in flash, i can edit image file.)

Try push and hold Reset button and turn on RB.

Thanks. But I tried this too. Older loader can’t start.
The only chance is reprogramming.

nemka, do you have access to the router over null modem cable?
If yes, then it is possible to rewrite it by Null Modem Cable.
You can get the latest firmware version from here,
http://www.routerboard.com/files/rb-2.18/rc32434-2.18.fwf

Switch on the RouterBOARD,
Find in BIOS ‘Upgrade Firmware version’,
Select Update by g - upgrade firmware,
and s - upgrade firmware over serial port.
Send data by xmodem (new firmware).
Let us know about the results.

Thanks, but routerboard hangs before BIOS menu.

Problem solved.

I wrote content from a good RB532 to damaged flash (after some modification, like serial number and software id). And bad routerboard works again.
