RB 600 speaker whistling

Today I was doing some testing which involves a rb133c and rb600. The rb600 has 2 R52h one is connected to a a 16dbi 120 degree antenna. The rb133c has a r52 and is enclosed in a arc wireless 5 GHZ panel antenna.

What I noticed is that when the rb133c is connected to the rb600 AP, there is a slight whistling noise coming from the speaker of the RB600. Tried switching the card also but once the client is connected the whistling starts. The power supplies for both are 24v 1.5A. The rb600 board seems the functioning despite. The whistling seems to occur when the Nstreme is enabled.

As anyone else experienced this

Hello,

I experienced also on all installed rb600 boards.

Hi,

I experienced also on my board

Can you teach it a tune ??

That sounds like a polling issue.. IE code is polling a port that happens to “pop” the speaker..

Another posability would be a programable logic issue… (MUCH smaller)..

I have seen OP-Amps that had a noise issue, in that when a resource IE CPU pulled a lot of power, the OP-Amp would create noise on it’s output., The Op-Amp had a noice immunity issue on its power rails… I could fix the noise by placing a bypass cap on the OP-Amp …
