Hi Guys
I have one of my main ABR routers which is RB600A , im running V3.15 on it, its such a busy board, i never get time to upgrade it
my firmware is version 2.18
The board is running BGP and OSPF and have alot of static routes as well
now we had a power failure , since they manage to break into the tower and steal the solar batteries
the board has lost some of its static routes and some config, I noticed when i wanted to make a latest backup and upgrade to newer version
system backup save
Saving system configuration
Failed to save system configuration backup
action failed (6)
seems the file system is in read only mode, i also cannot ftp to it.
Has anyone had similiar expierence with this?
thanks

Try to reboot the router (even better to upgrade to the latest MikroTik RouterOS version),
http://www.mikrotik.com/download.html
Then check whether it is possible to save backup or not.
Problem is I cannot upload to it, it wont save anything on the nand,
im gona have to export the whole routerOS or something , but problem is I cannot down that router easily, its quite a important router
any other advice?

stupid question but… it’s possible that your user hasn’t permision for doing this now?
ha, thanks, just thought about that, but user has permissions, another strange thing, when i telnet in
this is my banner when i log in
Escape character is ‘^]’.
Login: admin
Password:
RouterOS 3.15 (c) 1999-2008
doesnt even show the mikrotik ssh/telnet banner on login, so something defnitely is wrong
i also added a new user to test, but same thing.
