RB 750G monitoring on each port.

Hi,

I have a question about the 750G. How do I get it so that I can monitor the data on each port. I want to use the device as a simple switch and have removed the bridge between port 1 and port 2. I have the port 2 set as the master and all other as slaves but for some reason that only shows it as the logical port and the data not as the physical port. I can plug devices in to port 3 and 5, the traffic shows up on that master port 2 even though nothing is hooked up there.

I just want it to be a simple switch with port monitoring for data.

This should be pretty simple and i’m sure someone has an answer.. speak up!

I tried setting the master port to none but then there is no route between the two ports. :slight_smile:

This is making me sad.

Solved my own problem.

I set all the master ports to ‘none’ then created a bridge and added all the ports to the bridge. It now shows traffic on the Bridge and on each individual port instead of just the master port.

If there is a better way to do this then someone speak up :slight_smile:
