RB 751U-2HnD auto rebooting

This is the RB that they handed out at the MUM in Vegas. It came with 5.7. It rebooted earlier this week around 10AM (I wasn’t home).

I upgraded it last night to 5.8, It rebooted again in the middle of the afternoon (I was home). Forgot the bootloader so I upgraded that just now.

Wondering if anyone else has been seeing their 751’s reboot.

I’ve had one in production with v5.8 for 8 days now, no reboots. Uptime = 8 days.

make sure to check the logs, and also see if there was a autosupout.rif created.

There is no autosupout.rif. There is no *.rif at all - just two backups (text and binary), a skins dir and sys-note.txt (which is my motd).

I’ve tried 5.6, 5.7 and 5.8. All three of these reboot after just days. I will put 5.10 on it here in a few minutes.

if there is no autosupout.rif file, it means there was no software crash, and your router rebooted either because of power surge, or because there is not enough power. Do you use PoE? How long is the cable, and how many volts are supplied at the bottom?

I’m using the DC power supply that came with it. It is plugged into a 550va APC. The rb153 is staying powered as is a Ubiquiti NSM2. The entirety of my house is also unaffected - from my overly sensitive clock radio to several computers.

try to manually create a rif file after reboot.

Immediately after a reboot or could I send in one now? It’s up for 18 hours.

if there is anything to see, then only immediatelly after reboot

Rebooted at midnight last night, just after I had went to sleep. I added a scheduled task to create a reboot (3 seconds after reboot).

It has been up for about 36 hours and is at heavy (upwards of 100%) CPU load. Winbox takes a good 2 minutes to launch, DNS queries to it (it is caching) are delayed.

I went to /tool profile and flash was 70% of the usage for a minute or two. After this, it seems to return back to normal.
